Most of today was cruising that was nice as I could catch up on my blog and my email. We made one stop along the river in a town or village called Mandrogy. It was rustic with cobblestone streets (that are hard to walk on) and old buildings with rooms being different shops. I know the buildings were old as I had to duck almost in half to get thru the doors...very short people lived in these villages during these times! I bought a pair of ear rings and a couple little trinkets. We were only there for a few hours and we took off.
The rest of the day we cruised and ate and even had a couple of beers. The scenery along the river banks is mostly lovely trees with autumn leaves of many fall colors is really is beautiful. Every once in awhile you would see a house or a barn and maybe even a fisherman along the banks. This is my favorite part of all the cruises ... Just watching the world go by!

Turbulent Night!!!! I was hanging onto the bed and thought we might need our life vests and go to our safety stations. unlike any Viking experience before. Sailing till about 1:30PM. Lecture on Russian culture at 11:00AM.
Went to sleep at about 4:00AM but got to sleep in.
Visit to Mandrogy was not much. There were artists and crafters but not what i was looking for. At dinner Patsy and Mary Lou ate that which shall not be named in mixed company.
We attended the daily briefing and were told we needed to be up at 6:30 AM. The safe in our room continues to rattle. but our bathroom door has not fallen off. The tiles are still missing from the bathroom floor. Its a good thing that this the next to the last trip for this ship for this season.
We are going go on another lake tonight hopefully it won't be as rocky---!
